About Chad Slattery

From his base in Los Angeles, Chad Slattery specializes in digital imaging and post production for the aviation and aerospace industries. Corporate clients include Boeing, Dassault, Embraer, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Orbital Sciences.

Chad’s aviation background began as a child, accidentally gluing plastic model airplane parts to his parents’ kitchen table on a regular basis. At age 12 he mooched his mother’s camera and started bicycling to San Diego’s Lindbergh Field to make crinkle-edged photos of parked airliners.

Today he serves as Contributing Editor at Air & Space/Smithsonian magazine, and is regularly published in Aviation Week, AOPA Pilot, Business Jet Traveler, Executive Controller, Pro Pilot, and Volare. He is proficient with both the Astrovision and Vectorvision Learjet air-to-air platforms. In 2000, he co-founded ISAP: the International Society for Aviation Photography.

His lighting and Photoshop techniques figure heavily in business jet photography for manufacturers, brokers, charter operators, and completion shops. He is a member of NBAA, AOPA,  ISAP, and the Aero Club of Southern California.
